Finally!!! Lets hope it stays around for a while, though not too hot would be nice

As we all know, this week has been a devastating one for all Australians… The bushfires in Victoria have shocked and saddened people not only in Australia, but around the world.

So many people have lost their loved ones, their homes, their belongings, their pets – absolutely everything!!!  It breaks my heart all over again every time I turn on the radio or television, or glance at a newspaper – so what can we do to help?  Some of my fellow photographer friends are banding together to offer free photo session for Victorian familes who have been affected by this, and lost their homes.  If you know anyone in the areas of devastation who may be interested in this please contact me and I will pass on their details to you.  We all know that photographs are the first thing people take when evacuating their home, but many of those affected did not even have enough time to grab their photos and most treasured posessions…

Since I am in Newcastle and therefore cant do much to help that far down south I have been insprired by fellow photographer Kris Leigh as well as many other wonderful photographers.  In the spirit of spreading the word as to how important it is to have photographs to remember your loved ones by, I am offering that the session fee for all portrait sessions booked in February will be donated to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.  Sessions must be booked before the 28th Feb and take place in March or April 2009.  Also as a bonus offer I will be reducing this fee from $150 to only $100 and offering 10% off the total of your print/ album order.  If you want to take advantage of this special offer, please email me to book your time and then head to the Australian Red Cross secure donations site, make your donation and then forward me a copy of the receipt.

Then look forward to an awesome, fun photo session & some photographs for you and your family to treasure… all the while knowing that every little bit helps these families in need…

A trash the dress shoot with Beck a few weeks ago… Trying out new locations and ideas…
