Well – I did it!!! Or should I say we did it
A super awesome photo shoot of me and my gorgeous little girl. Me – in front of the camera! With someone else taking the photos, not using monkey arms…
We travelled to Canberra last weekend and as the timing worked out we managed to fit in two photo shoots. TWO!! Having never had one, me hating being in front of the camera… One casual, fun and relaxed (with some fun jeep shots at the end) which I will blog about once I have images to share…
The second shoot, for something a little different was a fashion portrait shoot with the amazing Liana Hall. Yes – she has the same name as my little girl! Totally cool coincidence and they both think its super fun to have the same name, since its not that common and a different way of spelling it. Liana runs a series of intensive Photo biz boot camp courses to help take your business to the next level and increase profitability and I attended the bootcamp in Newcastle early last year but we didnt have time for a shoot back then. I was so excited when I found out that Liana and her husband Mike would be nearby the weekend we were traveling to Canberra and that she would be able to fit us in.
So, shopping – and lots of it to find the perfect outfits. Modelling practice and instruction from (little) Liana. Super cool and out there make up just to make it a little different and the end result an awesome afternoon with Liana and Christine Pobke who is local and found the location and made all the arrangements for us. It was fun, it really was. So so much fun!! I thought I would be nervous and have this stupid smile frozen onto my face (which I am sure I did in quite a few photos) but I think I did ok. I got lots of cool posing ideas from (big) Liana which I am excited about using for my bridal shoots.
Now, the dreadful thing my clients go through every time I shoot for them…
The wait.
Did I look ok? Was the makeup cool, or too much? Did I pose right, or did I look silly with my bum sticking out and squinty eyes? Was (little) Liana looking nicely at the camera or was she doing thumbs up and cheesy smile in every single photo? Was it too windy and my hair was sticking up on end. Oh the questions. The wait. Oh how I hate to wait!!! (haha no pressure Liana)
Anyways yesterday I got a very cool surprise – a sneak peek from Liana posted onto her blog…. Oh my – I LOVE them so much. I looked GOOD. Hot, even some people have said. (which I find so000o amusing!!) So, I am feeling better. There is at least one image that I love and cant wait to hang on my wall. Now to be patient to wait to see the rest…. (which rumour has it are just as awesome)
.
So, on a final note, to those lovely clients of mine waiting on their blog posts and gallery viewings, thanks for being so patient and I will have them to you ASAP.
Now, check us out!!!

Love the way her toes are curled – so cute!!! Orange chair – yep I drove all the way from Newcastle to Canberra with that in the back of the chair. Its the one I use in a lot of my sessions. I even found an awesome retro green friend for it in a local antique store…
Little miss workin it – isnt she just amazing. Five and a half by the way, she looks so much older!!!

So so happy
Thanks a million Liana. Will post more when I have them to share.
