I must say though, I am not a fan of the hot weather.  Spring is good.  Summer = yuck!!  So, in celebration of all things warm and fuzzy I have a few pics to share…

It was a fantastic afternoon and here are some of the gorgeous details from the day…  I will post some pics of the girls and their outrageous outfits for their dress ups and fashion parade later.

The reason behind the tea party was partly because we love all things girly and gorgeous in this house and partly in honor of little Ave Rosemeyer who lost her life at only 3 years old in a tragic accident by climbing into the family car and getting trapped on a hot summer day in Brisbane 3 years ago.  You can read about all the tea parties that will be happening around the world this august here and Ava’s memorial site is here…

Birthday morning… presents from mum…

We turned the shed in our new place into a cubby house for Liana – it looks AWESOME…  Here are a few peeks of it – she is going to love playing in it!!  Hopefully there are some kids her age in our new street that she can play in there with!!

First up (of course) my gorgeous girl Liana…  1 week today till she turns 6 – OMG how has it gone that fast?  Before long she will be bringing home boyfriends and being a little diva teenager.  Not sure if that is better or worse than diva 5 year old?? haha  She has been visiting her grandparents most of the holidays so I miss her like crazy but at least I have been able to pack and unpack and clean in relative peace.

She is home with me for a few days now and then back to them for the weekend before they go back to QLD.  I am thinking we might have to do a photo shoot later today to try out the new studio

Now I hate to skite and all, but seriously how can life be unpleasant when you wake up to this view every morning??  I dont think I will ever tire of it!!  Even though I am primarily a studio photographer I dont think I will be able to resist taking clients out here for a few shots during sessions… Stay tuned for lots more of this view over the coming months…

Finally I get to display this awesome pic of Liana and I in our new living room!!  It was taken by the wonderfully talented Christine of Pobke Photography in Canberra.  It makes me smile every time I see it (and my legs look kinda good right??) hehe.  The quote used to be in Liana’s room but I think it fits perfectly here!!

Miss Liana gets a second mention of course!!!  But really this one was about exploring the new place and all the wonderful new photo locations!!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week   Studio pics will come soon, but since I am a perfectionist and all no one gets a peek till its looking perfect which should be early next week once the painters have come and I set everything back up again on the weekend.

Countdown to her birthday has begun… Can you believe my little girl will be 6 in 17 days!!  Wow that’s crazy!

At school a few weeks ago they were learning the sound for “K” and “C”  The image and word they were using was Cowboy.  So teacher tells them that when cowboys say hello they say “Howdy Partner”  All good they practice their howdy partners in the playground and the day goes on.  Liana however, puts her own spin on things….

“Howdy partner” becomes “Howdy there partner”  But not only do we have an extra little word embellishment, we also have a whole theater production of drama to add to it….

With a hop skip and a jump, and a burst into the room along comes “heeeeoooowwdy theeeeyyyyrrrre paaaaaartner!!!”  Complete with really bad American accent and arms flailing about and a little bow at the end.

I must say, when she came running to the dinner table at my parents house a few weeks ago and did this for the first time we all couldnt eat or speak for a good 10 minutes dues to laughing so much we had tears coming down our faces.  But, maybe you had to be there!!!

Anyways, onto a bit of studio news…

The last few weeks have been super busy with lots of newborn babies which is very exciting so if you are interested in a session please get in touch to book your date.  Dont forget newborn babies are best done in the first week after birth so it is best to book in before your due date and we can confirm exact time when you have had the baby.

The next month or so will be very hectic with a move to a new and exciting studio.  The new one is much bigger (and will have some super cool new furniture which arrived to my old place today – yay!!) so session times will be limited during the transition time.  Again, please get in touch asap if you think you might be interested in a booking.  Cant wait to start shooting in the new space!!  We have new products arriving and some great new packaging, plus an updated website with lots of new images – but more about that later…
