a friend reminded me the other day that i hadn’t blogged the feature article of Liana’s birthday party that was in Little one Kids magazine a few months ago!

i cant believe, that in all the excitement of being in the magazine, i forgot to actually tell many people about it!!!

we had clowns, giant balloons, gorgeous bunting, wonderful friends and loads of colour and the day was absolutely perfect!

a party for 20 children in the middle of winter is always a big risk but luckily the weather was gorgeous and allowed a little outdoors time to run off all the sugar in between activities.

How adorable are these three girls!!!!

Liana, Hunter, Sydney – an afternoon full of giggles and fun

She is in Year One this year, and nearly 7 – developing her own sense of self and fiercly independant which is so wonderful to see!!!  Most of the times school is a breeze for her, flying ahead in terms of reading and writing and maths so I have been trying to figure out things she can do when she gets bored of her regular homework that dont involve driving to a different sport lesson/ practice every day…  She loves to read and recently brought a book called EJ12 about a girl and her friends who are all spies.  As you can imagine we now have lots of secret agent stuff going on in our house, and checklists and missions and I quite often find her hiding in a corner reading the books – usually when she is supposed to be doing something else very important – like get ready for school…

Her spy name – Licorice Lollipop – was because she wanted her fun name to be a food but feels she has “grown out” of Liana Banana.  The “L’s” of course are because that is her favorite letter.

Liana also loves to take photos (wonder where she go that from??) and after hearing from a friend that her daughter in doing a 2 week photo challenge in the upcoming school holidays we decided that a photo challenge was a great idea.  Then, why not combine that with a blog so that she can keep a diary as such and practice her spelling and writing and share her photos…
